Rating 3 / 5
For starters while the story has a familiar themes, the story is well executed
The main character goes from being the step sun of a abusive(mental not sexual) step father, to staying behind for a fortnight to having to make his way across the country.
The first problem is he ends up trapped in his dog form. The second is he is forcibly recruited into a gang.
It shows quite a few rules for the shifters as well. Which does lead to a question, who was the other one that was the trigger.
Overall the best part of the story is seeing the character development even before the big event that sets off the plot.
